We all have fear inside of us

• Good fears – prepare for the best
• Bad fears – prevent us to grow

Fear in the disciples

• Peter denied Jesus
• Locked themselves up in the room

Disciples turn from coward to courageous

1. Jesus is the resurrection and the life

• Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
• He is alive so we can have a new life in Him
  • In His salvation, no need to fear
  • Refuse to be the slave of sin
  • God grants us peace and casts out our fear

2. With the help of the Holy Spirit

• Holy Spirit empowers us to do the work of the Lord
• Holy Spirit keeps us brave and bold
